JBHouse
A steep property with sunset views on top of a hill challenged the conventional design scheme. Here you enter at the top and descend towards the private spaces. The design concept takes inspiration from the Victorian derived banana plantation homes of the 19th century on the not so far Pacific side of Costa Rica with a modern interpretation. Very big overhangs shield from the rain, give shade and the sense of shelter, expansive windows and brise soleils open to the views and protection from the sun.
