Settled in a dry tropical jungle forest in the Papagayo area north of Costa Rica and envisioned as a Macaw hatchery to reintroduce the non existing wild Macaw population back to the area, the program called for a series of buildings that needed to run off the grid and be environmental and climate conscious.
The final design concept involved prefabrication processes and climate integration design strategies through a series of passive approaches: double insulated roofs, cross ventilation, proper orientation, adapted landscaping design, and low maintenance materials.
